“PUMA IN THE GRASS”

DONE HOLY NIGHT: DECEMBER 29, 2019 FOR JUNE 2020

When I turned the page in my sketch book during the year, in June, I already had a Quests I was on. The question I was formulating had to do with the relationship with my ex-husband. We had remained friends through the separation, and indeed visit on a regular basis. I am still so attracted to him. I began to wonder if we could at least be lovers again. I had recently visited with him and was feeling quite friendly.

I had formulated the question literally in my heart wondering if now after 7 years being divorced; if we could enjoy each other’s touch again.  When I turned the page and saw the name “Puma in the grass” I did some research as to what a Puma is.   I really didn’t know, and it’s a little funny that I used that word in the original art.  But as you know, we take the name it tells us.  A Puma is a cougar.  During the month of June, I wanted to work artistically with the animal image, but one evening I started doodling the demons in the mountains (can you see them?) This confused me…I kept watching and wondering as the month went on.

I had another free weekend so I went to John’s house because he lives near the hot springs and I’ve been waiting for them to open after COVID.  Sure enough on his alter was a picture of a cougar. H-mmmm…And then I noticed the “Golden Mountains” to the right above the puma in my journal. I could now perceive a path to the right above the puma in my journal going toward the “Golden Mountains”. (They are a part of an ongoing myth, appearing in many 13 Holy Night journals through the years.

The Golden Mountains are always a redeeming wonderful place in my inner mythology. The picture was finished shortly before the end of the month. The path to the Golden Mountain was developed, and I drew a picture of myself and cut it out and pasted it on the path, turning away from the puma and the pond he is going toward. Can you contrive my answer? It is a “no” to get together in that way with my X. Instead, continue toward The Golden Mountains. I felt at peace and complete with the quandary as the month ended.

“A GIFT FROM THE STARS, TO THE LAND, TO MY LIFE”

DONE HOLY NIGHT:  DECEMBER 27, 2007 FOR MAY 2008

I was musing about what book I wanted to read from. After studying many spiritual teachers all of my life, I was feeling a little obstinate. “The book of stars” was the answer that rose up in me. I trust the Great Star Beings, and I will open and read that book. I took some black construction paper and cut the shape of a book. Can you see the holes I put into the paper for stars? The next Holy Night I had a powerful dream…

DONE HOLY NIGHT: DECEMBER 28, 2007 FOR JUNE 2008

In the dream, a Star Being gave a Nature Being a book that the Nature Being gave to me. The dream was very vivid, my heart pounds even now as I recall it.

At the time, I was working at Boulder Waldorf Kindergarten. They had been doing the Biodynamic work since Spring. I was the afternoon teacher and had been watching. Many afternoons someone would walk the land with a spray. I actually observed the land grow more lush and alive. People started coming to BWK and commented on the beauty.

DONE HOLY NIGHT: DECEMBER 29 2007 FOR JULY 2008

The dream was so powerful that I worked with it for three days. A once-in-a-lifetime direct gift!

The next year I went to Shepherd Valley Waldorf School and started doing the Biodynamic work with my own two hands. We built community around it, including the children, parents and teachers. I could bike ride to the new school from my house, and I had a much better salary.

The Biodynamic works aligns greatly with the stars, and with our hands we serve the land and Nature Beings.
